When selling our food business, Simon took a lot of trouble to understand our business and the market we operated in. He got us a number of very credible offers and he supported us through the entire process to a very successful closure. We were delighted with the outcome.

Director

We couldn’t have gone through our business sale without CMC. We knew what we wanted to do but we just didn’t know how to get there. CMC knew the selling process and was able to advise us each step of the way.

Managing Director

Simon gave me superb support to enable me to sell my business. He provided great insight and advice to ensure the sale reached a successful conclusion. Importantly, after the sale the merged businesses are now doing well!

I have recently sold my main business but also simultaneously needed help in the acquisition of another business. Simon gave me pragmatic commercial and financial help that was crucial in making both deals happen. He gave me valuable analysis and insights to enable me to make the right decisions.

Peter was the lead adviser on the £150 million merger of meat processors Roach Foods and Dalehead Foods.  This complex deal was backed by HSBC Private Equity and allowed Dalehead shareholders to exit, Roach Foods shareholders to make a partial realisation and raised expansion finance for the merged business.

I have always been advised to appoint an expert when considering to sell my company, this advice was certainly well founded. Having appointed CMC Partners, I was introduced to Simon Scott, and with Simon’s vast experience within International Companies and particularly acquisitions, his approach was invaluable. He supported me through the sale of my manufacturing business and I was very pleased to have his guidance and support to get the deal completed successfully. He was very professional and was always available to take time to explain how to get the best outcome for me.

MD and founder

As non-executive chairman, CMC supported the principal shareholder of PlaceFirst in obtaining £25 million of development finance from private equity group, ESO. Following the transaction, ESO now owns 55% of PlaceFirst.

As Chief Executive, Peter managed the sale of healthcare business, Mercury Health, to Care UK for £51.7 million.  Mercury Health had been owned by Tribal Group.  The sale realised a profit of £27 million for Tribal, representing a substantial return on the group’s investment.

Peter was the lead adviser at Tribal Group, a support services business in the education sector. He supported three rounds of private equity and listed on AIM before transferring to the main market of the London Stock Exchange.

Working with Bob gives me much more confidence that when I do retire, I will be leaving a thriving and successful business with a great future.
