Step back and take a good hard look at your company from a number of perspectives, not just the one that first caught your eye. At CMC, we believe that every SME essentially has five core functions:

Don’t Unbalance the Boat!
One of the biggest pitfalls in re-launching is to work on one perspective without ensuring that every other area is examined and developed in a balanced way. You see this sometimes in big, highly publicised rebranding exercises, where many thousands of pounds are spent on a glossy new image for a store, a political party, or a household name company, though actually nothing else about them seems to change. Or a whole organisation holds its breath while a massive reorganisation and new recruitment exercise is undertaken, only to carry on ‘business as usual’ as soon as the dust has settled.
